Angie Craus moved to Leicester from Hull in 2012. As she had not got a job, she decided to go back to studying to try and get some qualifications. She joined Ros Taylor’s English class at 101 in January 2013.

Angie achieved her Level 2 English in December 2014 and is pictured here with her certificate. She would recommend WEA to anyone. Here’s what she said about it:

‘Coming to the WEA has given me more confidence : the classes have helped my to improve my writing and communications skills and I have met so many different people in a similar situation to myself.

The WEA is small, friendly and non-threatening and made me feel comfortable. The tutors take you as you are and work with you to increase your skills and confidence.

Now I have got my English, I have enrolled to do NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care through work. I would like to come back to do my maths at WEA at some future point.’
